The Café is a daytime lunch counter on Brent Street in Paristown. WHAS11 reported on September 28 that USA TODAY named its Queen Anne sandwich one of the best in America. The Queen Anne is built on Benedictine, the cucumber and cream cheese spread created in Louisville by caterer Jennie Benedict and usually served on crackers at Derby parties. The Café makes the spread in house and serves it on walnut wheat bread with sliced cucumber, applewood-smoked bacon and lettuce.
Order the Queen Anne.
This is a lunch counter, not a dinner restaurant, so go midday.
